According to today’s COVID-19 figures released by the Scottish Government, less than five patients are currently being treated in intensive care in NHS Highland hospitals.

There were 43 people in the region’s hospitals as from midnight with suspected or confirmed cases of the virus and in all 235 people have tested positive.

The Western Isles NHS area still has six confirmed cases, that number has not changed for days.

Across Scotland, the death toll of patients who tested positive for coronavirus and have died now stands at 1,415.
