Oban trad band Ceòl an Aire livestreamed their EP launch gig on Saturday and notched up 22,000 Facebook views.

The group were due to unveil their new release Doubles at The View, Oban,  to a bustling crowd but coronavirus meant the musicians had to come up with a Plan B.

Instead of an audience, they still performed the tracks from the new EP with the same lighting and sound set up as if people were there so fans could enjoy it from the comfort of their sofa or dance around their living rooms.

The gig was live streamed on The View and The Oban Times’ Facebook pages, and received 126 shares on Facebook and 391 likes.

‘Thanks for listening,’ said the band.
