Confirmation was received last night (Tuesday) that the Hebridean Princess has cancelled its next four cruises including its scheduled visit to Fort William today (Wednesday).

Sarah Kennedy, of Fort William Marina and Shoreline Community Interest  Company (FWMSCIC), told the Lochaber Times: ‘We are obviously disappointed but the health and safety of all is paramount and are grateful for the clarity from them.

‘We as the FWMSCIC are in the fortunate position to not have the responsibility of employees and our valued volunteers are able to react to the situation accordingly.

‘Our thoughts go out to all those who have lost loved ones to this virus.  We look forward to welcoming cruise ships back to Fort William once the crisis is over.’
