The committee of the Glengarry Games Association has regrettably announced that it has cancelled this year’s game, which were due to take place on Saturday, July 4.
A spokesperson for the committee told the Lochaber Times: ‘We are one of the earliest of the Highland Games circuit and, given the likely timescale of the pandemic, we would always have struggled to be ready in time.
‘Moreover, it seems likely that the tourist visitors on whom we depend would not be around in any great numbers, if at all.
‘We have therefore taken the decision to cancel this year and come back , bigger and better next year, and also prepare for Glengarry 50, the celebration of our 50th anniversary in 2022.’
