Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man was found in the River Nevis in Glen Nevis shortly after 3pm on Thursday, 27 February.

He is still to be formally identified but the family of Tomas Gafrik, 40, from Slovakia – who had been reported missing in the area – has now been informed.

The body has been recovered with the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
