MACAFFER – Sarah Anne (née McKerrell) aged 82 years, of Kilbarchan, formerly of Aldrach, Islay. Passed away peacefully in Elderslie Care Home, Paisley on February 15, 2020, beloved wife of late James (Jim) and dearly loving mother of late Kenneth and Gordon. Funeral service was held in The Round Church on February 24, followed by interment in Bowmore Cemetery, Islay.
SOLANKI – In loving memory of Mary Ann Solanki (née Currie) of Port Wemyss, Islay, who passed away peacefully on February 15, 2020, aged 79. Dearly loved mother of Nigel, Claire and Sheena.
CAMERON (Macdonald-Dorlin) – Shona and Ian and all the family, wish to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, cards, flowers, telephone calls, and support after the loss of our Mum Morag. Thanks to MacGillivary Buses. Special thanks to Canon Ian MacMaster and Fr. Emmanuel Ndukwu for a lovely service. Special thanks to Mairi Curie, Strathcarron Hospice, Befrienders, District Nurses, The Palliative Care Team. Friends and family for their fantastic help and support over these past couple of months. Thanks to the Coop Funeral Care Gladys and Robert for their kind and professional service throughout. The Grange Manor for providing excellent food and refreshments. Finally a huge thank you to all who attended the service, and generously donated £650 to be split between Strathcarron Hospice and the Jerichos.
COLQUHOUN – The family of the late Joan Colquhoun would like to thank all who attended the service and acknowledge the many kind expressions of sympathy received during their recent bereavement. Many thanks to the home care team, Ward I in Oban Hospital, Etive House, Lochnell Hotel and Petals. Sincere thanks to The Very Rev’d Canon Margi Campbell for a lovely service to celebrate Joan’s life. To St John’s Choir and Norman Nicholson, Organist. Thanks also to Munn’s Funeral Directors for their efficient and caring arrangements.
COWAN – John, Mary-Ann and their families wish to convey their sincere thanks and appreciation to all family, friends and neighbours for the kind, thoughtful and comforting expressions of sympathy received upon the sad passing of Annie. Special thanks to Dalmally Medical Practice, Rev. Margaret Millar for conducting a comforting and fitting service, Alasdair MacDonald for the music in the church, Iain MacIntyre for the piping from the church, Ian MacInnes from D & A Munn Ltd. for his personal and professional support in the funeral arrangements, Petals of Oban for the beautiful flowers and all at Dalmally Community Centre for the provision of excellent food and refreshments and finally to all who attended the church and graveside. The generous donations which amounted to £652 were collected for Oban Hospice Ltd. 
ELDER – Fiona would like to thank all family and friends for their support after the passing of Donnie. Many thanks to the staff in the Belford Hospital and Glen Mor Surgery for their compassionate care over the last few years. Thanks to both the MacKintosh Care Centre, Mallaig and Moss Park Nursing Home, Fort William. Finally many thanks to John McLellan staff for their support and guidance.
MACMILLAN – Anthony and all the family would like to thank the community for the kindness shown and messages of condolence following the sudden loss of Ruth. This has proved to be a comfort. Special thanks to the Rev Morag Muirhead for her support and for such a personal and moving service. Thanks also to all the staff at Manson and MacBeath and to the team on duty at A&E, Belford Hospital for all that they did. Thank you to the overwhelming crowd who attended Ruth’s funeral and to all who donated in her memory. The huge sum of £1197.38 was raised.
McQUADE -The family of Stella would like to thank everyone who sent messages of sympathy, flowers and cards after our recent loss. Angela and staff of Eadar Glinn Care Home for their care of mum over the last 3 years, staff of Lorn Medical Centre, Teresa Hoey for her Sunday visits to mum and Father James MacNeil for his visits to mum both at McKelvie Road and Eadar Glinn and for Funeral Mass. Lynette of Petals for flowers and Catriona and staff at Hamish Hoey & Sons for their personal and professional help with all funeral arrangements. To the staff in the Royal Hotel for refreshments after funeral.  The retiring collection for Eadar Glinn Residents Comfort Fund raised £156.41.
PAISLEY – The family of the late Marion Paisley would like to thank all family and friends for the many kind expressions of sympathy extended to them at this very sad time. Grateful thanks to Dr John Wallace, all doctors, nurses and staff at Craig Nevis Surgery. Special thanks to all the Castlecare and NHS Homecare teams for their loving care and attention to mum over the years. Sincere thanks to Rev. Richard Baxter and Rev. Morag Muirhead for their spiritual care and heart-warming service. Special thanks to everyone at John McLellan Funeral Directors for all their loving care, kindness and support at this sad time. CURTIS – Brian, born August 7, 1943 and died February 29, 2016. Much loved and sadly missed.
