INCH – Very suddenly, on January 21, 2020, on the Island of Lismore, Robin Grant, beloved husband of Sine (née Millar) and loving father of Ian and Elizabeth, father-in-law of Claire and grandfather of Calum Robin Grant.
MACINTYRE – Donald. Peacefully on January 30, 2020 at Tigh an Rudha, Tiree. Beloved husband of Margaret (Leckie) a dear uncle, cousin and good friend to many.
MACMILLAN – Ruth. Suddenly in Belford Hospital, Fort William, with her family by her side, on January 31, 2020, aged 73 years. Funeral will be held on Friday, February 14 in Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church at 12 noon, followed by interment in Blarour Cemetery, Spean Bridge.
McQUADE – Peacefully at Eadar Glinn Care Home, Oban on February 6, 2020, in her 92nd year, Stella (née MacPhee), beloved wife of the late James, mum of Stella, Patricia, Allan, John, Anthony, Anne Marie, Clare and the late Brian, a dear Granny and Great Granny. R.I.P.
PAISLEY – Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday February 9, 2020, in her 91st year, Marion Paisley. Devoted wife to the late John, one in a million mum of Hazel and Kathryn, gran to Lyana and Kevin, Corale and Raymond, Laura, John and Mark, Super-Gran to Sophie, Erin, Callum and Harris. Special mother-in-law to William and the late Russell. Funeral service will take place 12 noon Saturday, February 15, 2020 from Duncansburgh-MacIntosh Parish Church, Fort William followed by interment at Kilmallie Cemetery. Flowers welcome, donations, if desired for Craig Nevis Surgery.
WOODROW – In loving memory of our mother Mary Woodrow, who passed peacefully at Oban Hospital on February 5, 2020. A wonderful lady, Special, Unique and Fun.
FERGUSON – The family of Mary Ann Ferguson, would like to thank everyone who sent messages of sympathy, flowers, cards and support, after our recent loss. Thanks to the medical profession, carers, Lynn Court Housing and staff at Etive House, for the great care given over many years. Rev Ian Miller led us in a very fitting service at Cardross Crematorium, also our gratitude to Ian MacInnes of D & A Munn for professional, yet personal guidance. Thank you to all family and dedicated friends who helped us share a celebration of life well lived.
MACKINNON – Stewart, Neil and families would like to thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues for their kind expressions of sympathy, cards and phone calls following the sad loss of their mum, Ann. Special thanks to Ian of D & A Munn for his personal and professional service, Donald MacKinnon for his thoughtful and comforting service, Alistair MacDonald for musical accompaniment in church, Iain MacIntyre for piping to the graveside, Justine at The Thistle and the Rose for the beautiful flowers, everyone at Dalmally Community Centre for food and refreshments and North Argyll House staff for their care and attention over the last few years. The retiral collection raised £355 to be split between Alzheimer Scotland and Cancer Research UK.
RUSSELL – Hughie, (late of Ulva and Mull), passed away peacefully at CAU, Belford Hospital on January 18, 2020. The family – Mary, Alistair, James and Amanda would like to say a big thank you to all their family, friends and neighbours for all the lovely cards and flowers and for all the support and help they gave us over the years of Hughie’s illness. Thanks to Belford Hospital, Moss Park Care Home, doctors, nurses and staff at Glen Mor Medical Practice, LAD for help with transport, Mr B Skene for the lovely service, Manson and MacBeath for caring and professional services, to all who came to the church and graveside in such atrocious weather and to Railway Club for the lovely spread.
