Abusive behaviour

At about 6.30pm on Friday February 7, in Bowmore, Islay, a woman aged 37 allegedly behaved in an abusive manner towards another woman. The woman will be issued with a recorded police warning when she is traced.

Witness appeal

At about 11.30pm on Sunday February 9, in Stanalane, Bowmore, Islay, a man allegedly assaulted a woman and knocked her to the ground. Police are
appealing for any witnesses.

Drugs found

At about 2pm on Thursday February 6, in Queen’s Park Place, Oban, a man aged 43 was searched by police and allegedly found in possession of a quantity of Valium tablets. Following inquiries, a flat at Shore Street was searched under warrant and a man aged 42 was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of Valium tablets and a small amount of heroin. Both men were charged with drugs offences and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal when the drugs have been analysed.

Window smashed

At about 1.25am on Friday February 7, in Alma Crescent, Oban, a house window was smashed. Police are appealing for any witnesses.

Drugs charge

At about 5pm on Friday February 7, in Soroba Lane, Oban, a man aged 38 was searched by police and allegedly found in possession Diazapam. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Speeding motorist

At about 10.20am on Saturday February 8, on the A85 near Tyndrum, a motorist was stopped for allegedly exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 24, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Drug search

At about 6.20pm on Saturday February 8, a flat in Miller Road, Oban, was searched by police. A man aged 22 was allegedly found to be cultivating and in possession of cannabis. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Resisting arrest

At about 11pm on Saturday February 8, in Campbell Crescent, Oban, a man aged 39 was arrested for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner and assaulting a woman. The man struggled with police and resisted arrest. The man was charged with the offences, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Break-in

At about 5am on Sunday February 9, the shop at Birchwood Filling Station, Soroba Road, Oban, was broken into with a window smashed. Items including alcohol and cigarettes were stolen. Following police inquiries, about 8.30am on Monday February 10, a house in Oban was searched under warrant, stolen property was recovered and a man aged 44 and a woman aged 40 were arrested. They were charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Breach of bail

At about 1.30am on Monday February 10, at the Railway Pier, Oban, a man aged 34 allegedly breached bail conditions imposed by the court by consuming alcohol. Police arrested and charged the man. A report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
