This week’s BBC Alba edition of the Gaelic travel show, Mach A Seo! Let’s Go! visits Glenfinnan.
Broadcast tonight (Thursday February 13) at 10pm, the show sees presenter Ramsay MacMahon travel to Glenfinnan and Ardnamurchan.
He’s one of hundreds of onlookers as he watches the steam train cross the famous viaduct and finds out more about the railway and its importance, long before it became associated with a certain boy wizard.
He takes a cruise up Loch Shiel and hears about the Jacobite rising. In Acharacle, Ramsay tries his hand at the other thing the area is known for – music – and attempts to learn a tune on the accordion.
His weekend ends in spectacular fashion, on a deserted beach, looking out west to the sea and the Small Isles.
