The word is most definitely out about how Lochaber Chamber of Commerce can help local businesses to connect with each other and the wider Scottish business community!

Over the last two weeks we’ve been delighted to welcome record numbers of members old and new, and other local business owners along to our friendly and informal business events.

Our last monthly Networking Lunch saw a record 50+ local business folk come along to mingle, enjoy a light lunch and hear an interesting overview of their work from local business, Northern Light Consulting Ltd.

All members have the opportunity to give a short talk promoting their work and we’ve already got a busy schedule of businesses lined up to introduce themselves during the first part of the year.

As well as a record attendance at our most recent networking lunch, we were delighted with the turn-out from local tourism businesses at last week’s Tourism Roadshow.

The roadshow brought experts from the tourism industry out to venues in Ballachulish, Arisaig, Strontian and Fort William. These informal drop-in events gave everyone in the tourism industry locally a fantastic opportunity to ask their questions face-to-face and get valuable insights from the likes of Expedia, Freetobook, Highland Council, VisitScotland and more. We’ve had great feedback!

We’ve got another exciting event for tourism businesses coming up next month at our ‘Activities & Attractions Expo’ at the Nevis Centre of March 23rd.

This expo will bring together activities and attraction providers from across Lochaber in one venue.

The event is designed to give accommodation providers an opportunity to find out more about the huge range of options that their guests can enjoy as part of their stay in Lochaber.

We’re always open to suggestions for events, so if there’s something you’d like the Chamber to help with, please just get in touch on 01397 705765 to have a chat.

Let’s see if we can top the record for our next networking lunch! Book online at and come along to find out about all the great business assistance you can tap into as part of our strong Scottish Chambers of Commerce business network. We look forward to welcoming you to an event soon!
