This spring, Highlands and Islands Enterprise is sharing exporting knowledge in a series of events, including in the Outer Hebrides.

If your business is thinking about taking its first steps towards international trade and wants to learn more about overseas markets, this is an introduction to exporting you can’t afford to miss.

Interested businesses are being asked to sign up now for a session delivering: two-hour Preparing to Export taster session delivered by Giraffe Consulting; an understanding of the benefits of developing trade in international markets; essential practical information needed to start exporting; information on support for businesses; insights from a successful local exporting business; and one-to-one meetings with an export adviser.

During a taster session, delegates will be given an overview of essential international trade business basics. This will include effective costing and pricing, negotiating agency and distribution agreements, and developing strategies to protect your business in international markets.

The Outer Hebrides event is on Friday February 28 from 9.30am to 1pm at Kinloch Historical Society, Balallan, Isle of Lewis.
