The next meeting of the Upper Achintore Regeneration Group will be held on Monday February 3 at 6pm in the meeting room at Lundavra Primnary School.

Current activities of the group include monitoring the progress of the 325-house development below Cow Hill and the 39-house school site; path restoration work on the Ross Place/Cow Hill circular link path; upgrading of the local kick-about pitch and a funding application for a multi-purpose community hub.

Group chairman Mark Linfield said: ‘We are working hard to improve the environment and facilities for our community and I’m hoping for a good turnout at our meeting.

‘I am proud to announce that we have just been successful in obtaining a grant for a Christmas event this year and we currently have funding applications lodged for a feasibility study to create a new all-purpose community hub and for new benches in the area.

‘While Highland Council officers have been very helpful, we vitally
need the support of all residents if we are to achieve our aim of regenerating Upper Achintore.’
