Earlier this month, at the Kyle of Lochalsh Lifeboat Station, two cheques were presented to both Portree and Kyle RNLI crews.

Rodger Harvey-Jamieson presented a very generous £10,000 cheque from his family to each station.

Alfie Edwards, representing the Applecross Boat Pull Team, also handed over to each station, a cheque for £1,000.

The team has been fundraising for local charities and the RNLI for several years which have led to several lifeboat stations receiving donations over that time.

Thanking Mr Harvey-Jamieson and Mr Edwards were Hamish Corrigall (Portree coxwain) and John Ellis (Portree launch operations manager).

Representing Kyle Station, were Emma Noble and Daniel Elliot. The photograph was taken in front of the Kyle lifeboat, Spirit of Fred Olsen, an Atlantic 85.
