Eleven ladies from Oban Ladies Squash Team travelled to Glasgow recently to compete in the annual Scotstoun ladies bronze event.

This year’s event was bigger and better than ever with a record entry of 40 women from Central and West Scotland competing. Due to the high level of participation the event was split into A, B and C grades with a main and subsequent plate section.

There were good performances all round for the Oban team with Nicola Morgan finishing fifth in the main A draw, only losing one game to a former World Masters champion from Bridge of Allan.

Congratulations to Laura Tulip who finished second in the C grade main draw and Carrie Craik who won the C grade plate.

The team would like to thank coach Colin MacNiven for his support on the day.

The team are back in action in March where they are due to play Western Squash Club in a friendly match in Glasgow.
