The final club evening of 2019 finished on a high note with guest artistes, the Ross MacPherson Trio closing out the year at the Railway Club, Inverlochy.
Ross on piano accordion, famous fiddler Callum MacPhail, and well renowned piper Angus MacColl on drums provided an excellent variety of west coast tunes, gaelic waltzes, Irish melodies, reels and jigs. Angus also played a selection of tunes on the bagpipes.
The well-attended crowd were wowed by the variety of music the trio turned out with, and not a programme nor piece of sheet music in sight, just a nod and bit of banter between them before getting going.
It was hand clapping and toe tapping stuff as the same energy stayed for the second half of their show.
The ever supportive local players Hector Henderson, Lucy Macintyre, Cameron MacIsaac, Craig Kennedy and Liam F Stewart gave their very best on piano accordions.
Button box players, Calum MacColl and Robert Nairn were joined by Hugh MacCallum on drums for a great culmination to the 2019 meetings.
Chairman, Alastair MacDonald thanked everyone who made the effort to support the club in every way.
The club is looking forward to 2020 when the first guest artist will be the Hector MacFadyen Band from Oban on January 7.
