Lorn Natural History Group’s December field trip resumes exploration of the Caledonia Way along the Sustrans Cycle Track.

This time members will venture further north than ever before, following the track through the South Ballachulish area.

The trip is this Saturday, December 14, meeting at 10am. The directions to the meeting place are travel north on the A828. About half a mile before the road goes under the Ballachulish Bridge and immediately before the Dragon’s Tooth Golf Club, there is a minor road off to the right signposted Glenachulish. Take this road and continue for about a mile to the Forestry Commission car park at the end of the road. Meet there (NN 0468 5890).

Anyone going along should bring a packed lunch, hot drink, clothing for all weathers and wear stout waterproof footwear.

Car-share is encouraged.
