BROWN – Rev. Joe Brown MA, (formerly minister of Kilbrandon, Isle of Seil. Peacefully at home on Saturday, November 30, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Lena, father to Rosemary and Logan, father-in-law to Karen, grandfather to Angus, Isla and Charles, husband to Debbie.  Funeral service on Thursday, December 12, at12 noon at Kelso North Parish Church. Interment at Yetholm Cemetery at 1.30 p.m. 
CARTER – On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, aged 49 years, Alec, soul mate of Audrey, doting dad of Graeme and Simone, beloved son of Chrissie and the late Murdo Carter and nephew of Flora. Dearly loved and greatly missed by all.
MACDONALD – At home on Thursday November 28, 2019, in her 96th year, Anne née Butt, beloved wife of the late Bobby MacDonald, dear mother of David, mother-in-law of Helen, and grandmother of Ewan and Katherine.  Funeral will take place from St. John’s Cathedral, Oban on Monday December 9th at 11.00 a.m., thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery.
McAFFER – James. Peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospice, Howwood on December 1, 2019. Jim beloved husband of Sarah, much loved dad of the late Kenneth and Gordon, dear uncle and cousin to the family. Funeral service to which all family and friends are welcome at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley (top chapel), tomorrow, Friday, December 6 at 9.30 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to St. Vincent’s Hospice, Howwood.
McLUCKIE – Peacefully, with courage and dignity, on November 30, 2019, at the Royal Infirmary, Glasgow, Bobby, formerly of 3 Dunmar Court, Oban. Now at rest and will be sorely missed. Funeral service will take place at Oban Parish Church, Glencruitten Road, Oban, on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11.00 a.m.; thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. Family flowers only please, retiral collection/donations will be taken for North Argyll Diabetes Support Group.
GIBB – The family of the late Ian would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy and support shown to them on his death, for all the flowers, cards, phone calls and home baking and to all who visited us. Grateful thanks to Macmillan staff who cared for Ian over the years and latterly over the last few weeks along with ward B staff at the Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban. To Ian MacInnes at D&A Munn for the care and compassionate funeral arrangements and to the Rev Margaret Miller for the beautiful service. Thank you to everyone who came from near and far to give Ian a great send off, he would have been so overwhelmed by the turnout. The sum of £952.10 was donated to the Macmillan Day Bed Unit, Oban.
ROSS – Kay, Susan, Craig and families would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many expressions of sympathy and kindness expressed to them following the loss of their much loved Dad, Charlie Ross. Thanks to Rev Canon Dr John Cuthbert for his personal service and to Manson & MacBeath Funeral Directors for their guidance and support, special thanks also to the British Legion, Fort William Branch, for their participation in giving Dad a fitting send off. Finally, thanks to all who came to pay their last respects and who donated generously to the British Legion (Fort William Branch) and the Cheerful Chesters. The sum of £610 was raised.
TURNBULL – Margaret. John, Dianne and Aileen and the extended family would like to say thank you to relatives, friends and neighbours for all their kind messages, cards and flowers received after the loss of our dear wife, mum, gran and great gran, Margaret Turnbull. Thanks to Alyson Stewart for her beautiful heartfelt and comforting service. She gave mum an extra special send off. To Linsay and Laura, thank you for being so strong and sharing your memories with us. We all enjoyed Linsay’s lovely recollections of her gran and Laura’s beautiful poem. A special thank you to the Railway Club for the beautiful buffet and for providing the venue. A very sincere thank you to Manson & MacBeath for going above and beyond their professional duties. The support and attention to detail for the funeral arrangements were exceptional. We can’t thank all of the staff at Abbeyfield Care Home enough for the care and kindness they have shown to our Mum over the past six years. Thanks to everyone that attended the service and graveside and also your kind donations to Abbeyfield Care Home.
