At about 3.25am on Monday December 2, in a property near Ballygrant, Islay, a man aged 42 was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman. The man was charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
At about 11.45pm on Monday November 25, a woman was allegedly assaulted within licensed premises in Oban. Police were called, investigated and the following day a man aged 31 was arrested and charged. A report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
At about noon on Tuesday November 26, a domestic cat was found fatally injured in Rockfield Road, Tobermory, Isle of Mull. Examination by a vet confirmed that the cat was shot by an air gun or similar weapon. Officers are investigating and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them.
At about 5.55pm on Thursday November 28, at Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man aged 37 was arrested for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner. The man then obstructed officers who were searching him. The man was charged and a report submitted to the procurator fiscal.
On November 28, a property in Glenmore Road, Oban, had a window smashed.
The same day, a CCTV security camera within Westbay Flats, Corran Esplanade, Oban, was damaged.
Between 7pm on Saturday November 30 and 10am on Sunday December 1, in Colonsay Terrace, Oban, a grey Landrover Freelander was damaged by having the rear passenger side window smashed.
At about 1pm on Saturday November 30, graffiti was discovered on the wall
of a changing room building within Mossfield Stadium.
At about 8.45am on Friday November 29, at the junction of George Street and Stevenson Street, Oban, a car was in collision with a pedestrian who was injured. The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged 58, will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
At about 6pm on Saturday November 30, a man aged 44 was stopped by police and found to be in possession of a number of items allegedly stolen from a supermarket in Oban. He was arrested, charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
On November 30 and to December 1, two houses in the Lochandhu Road
area of Taynuilt were broken into and items stolen.
At about 10.10pm on Saturday November 30, in George Street, Oban, a man aged 31 allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. The man also allegedly assaulted a several people and was aggressive and abusive to police. He was arrested, charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
At about 1.25pm on Saturday November 30, on the A85 between Dalmally and Tyndrum, a van was stopped for exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 26, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
At about 2.30am on Sunday December 1, in George Street, Oban, two men aged 26 and 35 were arrested for allegedly assaulting another man. Both were charged and issued with recorded police warnings.
At about 11.10pm on Sunday December 1, near the Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man aged 29 was searched and found to be in possession of cannabis. He was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.
