The end of last month saw the crew of the RNLI’s Portree lifeboat together with local fundraisers for the charity join mascot Stormy Stan, at the Portree Co-operative shop to receive a cheque.

Two other charity groups also received their respective cheques.

Each customer of the Co-op with a loyalty card had chosen which of the three local charities or good causes would receive money from its community fund.

As well as the RNLI, the other charities to benefit this year were Skye Stroke Friends and Cuillin FM.
