Well, Lochaber Ideas Week may be over for another year but the team at Lochaber Chamber of Commerce is still hard at work putting on events for the benefit of our local business community.
This coming week sees our regular Chamber networking lunch at Ben Nevis Distillery today (Thursday November 28), where members get a chance to meet fellow business folk and find out all the latest from the Chamber team.
If you’re a member and you haven’t been along for a while, our you’re interested in joining, please sign up and come along from 1pm to 2pm.
On Monday December 2, we’re delighted to be able to bring specialist training for business managers on how to deal with drug and alcohol issues in the workplace.
At our members’ request, we have been working hard on bringing more training on drug and alcohol issues to the area.
We’re pleased we can now offer a specialist half-day training for managers from the expert team at Healthy Working Lives Scotland.
We all know that drug and alcohol problems can affect people in every profession and at any age. Knowing how best to help employees deal with these issues, as well as know the HR rules around drugs and alcohol, is valuable information for every business.
This event is free and open to all – see www.lochaberchamber.co.uk for how to book.
We round off next week with our popular employment law seminar at Garrison West on Thursday December 5.
Kirk Tudhope, from member business Ledingham Chalmers Solicitors, is an expert in employment law and also has a fantastic way of making the
seminar interesting, relevant and entertaining for his audience. If you employ people, it’s a really valuable session that makes sure you’re prepared and up to date with current rules around how you deal with employees.
At Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, we try our best to provide a range of training, seminars and networking events that bring valuable benefits to our members, no matter what their industry.
