Held in Oban Parish Church and introduced by Rev Dugald Cameron, Hand Bells and Christmas Carols formed a much rejoiced part of Oban Winter Festival.

The event featured the Muckairn Ringers, conducted by Rev Margaret Millar, with Fumiko Miller and Mairi Harrower performing a duet, and Ken Harrower on piano. The Ringers also performed a selection of poems in the theme of bells and Christmas.

The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by an appreciative audience. A delicious afternoon tea was served by parish church choir members Babs MacIntyre, Sandra Clark and Marie MacGilivray.

Donations were accepted for local charity work and organisers were delighted collect £200 with £100 each going to the Ringers and Carr Gomm.
