The club chairman Alisdair MacDonald was back at the helm for the Tuesday November 5 meeting, in the usual place of the Railway Club, Inverlochy.
He got the evening going by introducing the guest artists, The Ally MacKenzie Trio. Leading the trio on piano accordion, Ally travelled from the Black Isle, where he currently lives, but all three are Lochaber lads.
Garry Robertson was on fiddle and Hugh MacCallum set the tempo on drums. They were a stunning trio with great harmonies throughout and they received a rapturous applause from the well attended crowd.
A real hit on his solo fiddle, Garry was joined by Hugh on drums who is well known at various clubs as an excellent drummer.
There was also performances from local players, Hector Henderson, Donald Cameron and Lucy MacIntyre.
There was a welcome return from Liam Stuart of the band A’Hooligans, and young Craig Kennedy gave a performance on his new accordion accompanied by Hector Henderson on keyboard and Hugh MacCallum on drums.
Alisdair MacDonald thanked everyone for coming and announced the next club performance on Tuesday December 3 will welcome guest artists, The Ross MacPherson Trio.
