This weekend will see a ‘write’ Highland hoolie taking place in Mallaig.
The town’s annual book festival takes place under one roof at The West Highland Hotel from tomorrow (Friday November 8) to Sunday, November 10.

The festival kicks off with a ticketed drinks reception to celebrate Theresa Breslin’s recent OBE for services to literature, with crime-writer Alex Gray; John Lister-Kaye; Sue Lawrence; Dr Gavin Francis; climber and editor of The Scots Magazine, Robert Wight;  Wigtown bookseller Shaun Bythell; Polly Clark all making an appearance.

Oban children’s author Alan Windram will be taking part in the expanded school events.
