Lochnell FC’s 2008 team are sporting a new ‘away’ kit thanks to the generosity of a well-known local employer.

The operators of Yeoman Glensanda Quarry, on the Morvern peninsula, stepped in to support the team in their travels as they begin life in a new league.

Every month, in preparation for the transition to 11-a-side football, the team play in the East Dunbartonshire Soccer Association’s nine-a-side league, based in Milngavie.

So far, the North Connel side have given some spirited performances, more than living up to Yeoman Glensanda’s motto which is printed on the back of each strip, ‘Together – One Team, One Vision’.
