Dancers from Lochaber were among a party from the the Jane Douglas School of Dance who enjoyed an international summer with trips to France and Germany.

The group was invited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kevrenn Bro Longunec’h (Breton Pipe Band) in Brittany.

The dance school has had long music, dance and Gaelic cultural links with its Celtic cousins from the band and the Breton language school in Vannes, over the past 14 years.

They had a fabulous exchange of culture, dance and song with Basque dancers from Bilbao, the pipe band and Breton dancers.

The group gave an outdoor display during the French heatwave and performed at a gala concert with music and dance groups from across Brittany.
