Two local pubs have been recognised for their excellence at the inaugural Scottish Bar and Brew Awards 2019.
Around 150 representatives of the best bars in Scotland gathered on Monday September 30 at Marriott Hotel in Glasgow to celebrate their achievements.
Among the nominees were the Glenelg Inn at Kyle of Lochalsh and the Lord of the Isles at Craobh Haven.
The Scottish Bar and Brew Awards 2019 showcased bars that performed well over the past year and are considered the best by the public.
The awards also celebrated top establishments that strive to be different. They commended those who serve unique drinks, blended with secret recipes and ingredients as well as bars that offer fantastic atmosphere due to their sophisticated ambience.
Irfan Younis, CEO of Creative Oceanic said: ‘Although in the first year, we received a fantastic response from the public who was really keen to vote for their favourite bars that keep the country alive.
‘This industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to reward those who have managed to make a real difference by providing fantastic drinks and great hospitality.
‘The winners are an outstanding example of excellence whose dedication to be the best has made them stand out among the rest.
‘We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.’
The Glenelg Inn took the title of Inn of the Year overall winner, while the Lord of the Isles won Gastro Pub of the Year central region.
