Police Scotland can now confirm the identity of the man who died in a road traffic collision on the A85 near Crianlarich last week.

He was Iain Chisholm, 58, of Dumbarton Road in Glasgow.

Mr Chisholm was the rider of a black Triumph motorcycle which was involved in a collision with a blue BMW 320 car approximately half a mile south of Crianlarich at around 4.30pm on Friday September 20.

The occupants of the BMW were uninjured.

His family released the following statement through Police Scotland.

‘Mr Iain Gibson Chisholm, beloved lifelong partner of Jacqueline Dickson and adored father of Calum and Lucy.’

Inspector Andrew Thomson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: ‘We are providing support the family of Mr Chisholm who are very much in our thoughts as we continue to investigate the collision.

‘If you were in the area around the time of the incident and have any information, including dashcam footage, which could assist in our inquiry please get in touch by contacting Police Scotland via 101 and quoting incident 2835 of 20 September, 2019.’
