Producers of Seil’s next panto need packed auditions if the January show is ever to take off.
The search for budding stars, magic lamps and flying carpets has already begun on the island in time for the 2020 fun time offering – oh yes it has.
Auditions for The Aladdin of Ardencaple, coming to Seil Island Hall, will be on Tuesday October 1 and Tuesday October 8, both starting at 6pm and finishing by 7.45pm at the latest.
As always in the Seil pantomimes, the story will unfold on the island itself.
Any resemblance to the traditional story of Aladdin will be purely coincidental, says director John Colston.
Volunteers from Seil Drama Group are busy digging out costumes, dreaming up dance routines and practising their custard pie recipes but there is still something missing.
Mr Colston said: ‘We still don’t have a cast but we’re hoping for a good turnout at the auditions next month – people of all ages who
are willing to have a go at acting, singing and dancing and generally making a fool of themselves. We’re hoping for some new talent alongside some of the regular stars that Seil audiences have come to know and love.’
