Loving husband of Lois and adored brother of Catherine, Neil and the late Sally.Will be much missed by his wide circle of friends and the extended family at home and abroad.
TOMLINSON-HALL – Janet. Peacefully after a long illness bravely borne at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Janet a very beloved wife to Peter. Funeral service at Cardross Crematorium, Cardross, Dumbarton G82 5HD on Friday September, 20 at 12.15pm. Followed by a memorial service on the Isle Of Mull at Torosay Church, Craignure on Tuesday October 1, at 12pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
JOHNSTON – Peacefully at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on September 3, 2019, Isabel Vivienne, aged 86 years, Royal Ness Court, Inverness. Beloved wife of the late Neil Johnston, sister to Elizabeth, sister-in- law to Michael, Ayr and aunt to Pauline, Violet and Francis. Funeral Service on Tuesday September 24, at 10.00am in the Funeral Home of John Fraser & Son, 17-29 Chapel Street, Inverness, followed by a Committal Service on Wednesday September 25 at 1.00pm in Kirkapol Cemetery, Isle of Tiree. Family flowers only please. Donations are invited for the British Heart Foundation and the Highland Hospice at the service or may be forwarded to the funeral directors. MACCUISH – Sadly but peacefully, on September 11, 2019, after a long illness, in her 87th year, Marion Macrae, (née Galbraith), beloved wife of Peter, mother to Peter, David and the late Bobby, grandmother to Jenna, Andrew, Claire and Daniel and a loving great-grandmother. Funeral service will take place at Oban Parish Church, Glencruitten Road, Oban, on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11.00am. Thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
MACLEOD – Mary (née Kirkham), formerly of Creagan Park, Tobermory died peacefully in the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on September 9, 2019 in her 89th year. Much loved wife of the late Ian. A loving mother, granny and great granny and will be sadly missed.
MCQUARRIE – On September 10, 2019, peacefully at Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll
Hospital, Lochgilphead, Donald McQuarrrie (Donnie), in his 90th year, dearly loved husband of Marjorie, beloved dad of Donna and the late Rhoda, much loved brother of the late Neil, May and Minnie, and a dear brother-in-law, uncle and good friend to many. Funeral service was held at Inveraray Parish Church, on September 17, 2019, thereafter at Cardross Crematorium.
NICOL – Suddenly but peacefully, at home, 16 Knockscalbert Way, Campbeltown, on September 13, 2019, Hugh MacLellan Nicol, in his 79th year, much loved husband of the late Agnes Armour, much loved dad of Hugh, Wendy and the late Judith, father-in-law of Christine and a dearly loved grampa of Cara and Andrew. Isobel nee Johnston aged 84 years beloved wife of Isla and much loved mother to John and Kathleen and mother in law to Rae and Duncan, beloved grandmother and great grand mother. Funeral service in Round Church on Friday 20th September 2019 at 11.30 am and there after to Bowmore Cemetery.
MACINNES – The family of the late John Joseph (Joe) MacInnes would like to thank Fr David Connor, Fr Emmanuel, Fr Stan, Deacon Thomas and Kevin the organist for their compassion and wonderful service at St Mary’s Church. Also, to the staff at Belford Hospital, Respiratory Care Services and Glen Mor Medical Practice, particularly Dr Weir and the ambulance crew who were in attendance when Joe passed away, for their care. Thanks also to the staff at McFall Funeral Directors, McDonald Brothers florist and the Railway Club for their help and support through this difficult time. Finally, thank you to all friends and family for their messages of condolence, support and attendance at the funeral service. MACPHERSON -The family of Amy MacPherson would like the thank relatives, friends and neighbours for their kindness, words of support, flowers and cards during this sad time. Amy was a much loved wife to Hughie, mother to Heather, grandmother to James and Andrew and great grandmother. A special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at both the Belford and Raigmore Hospitals. We would also like to thank the Rev Baxter and the Rev Muirhead for their words of comfort and prayers at both our home and during the service. A special mention to the McDonald Bros for the floral tributes, the Railway Club for providing the lovely tea and a special thanks to McLellan Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care, support and attention to detail with the handling of the funeral arrangements. Thank you to all who came to pay their last respects to Amy, many travelling a long distance to be there. Finally thank you for the generous donations to the Coronary Care Unit at the Raigmore Hospital.
MUNRO – The family of the late Craig Munro extend sincere thanks to the many relations, friends and neighbours for their kindness, messages, cards, flowers and gifts at this very sad time.
