Five Spreadbury sisters from Oban were just some of the talented youngsters taking part in Mull’s 81st Mòd on Friday, making hearts swell with tradition and pride.

Macy, six, Eve, four, Aimee, eight, Lucie , seven, and nine-year-old Alyssa are all pupils at Rockfield Primary School.

Entries for last week’s two-day event in Tobermory attracted more than 1,600 separate entries, beating the past two years’ figures. Adult choirs had their competition day on Saturday.
