It is that time of year again. The nights are drawing in, there’s a chill in the air – it must be time to start thinking about Lochaber Ideas Week.
Held from Monday November 18 to Friday November 22 at the Moorings Hotel, Lochaber Chamber of Commerce presents a fantastic week of business events to inspire the community.
Ideas Week is open to everyone – you don’t need to be a Chamber member to come along. It is a great chance to meet new people, discover new ways of doing things and get your ideas flowing.
We know it can be hard for businesses and self-employed people to make the time to attend training seminars that frequently involve travel and accommodation costs.
Helping to provide inspiring training on our doorstep is a big part
of what Lochaber Ideas Week is all about.
We have got three fantastic seminars on offer over the week, starting with something completely different – the ‘We’re all Creative!’ seminar with renowned creative director John-Paul Hughes on Monday, November 18. This is all about freeing yourself to think differently about your work – whatever the industry and whatever the type of work you do.
The ‘Small Steps to Big Success’ seminar led by Olympic athlete and former diplomat Dr Cath Bishop and sponsored by Liberty British Aluminium, will focus on harnessing the power of marginal gains to create outstanding results.
Her seminar will also look at using practical strategies to build resilient and positive teams for business success. This seminar is a must for everyone who leads teams in their work role.
On Friday, November 22, we welcome straight-talking motivational speaker Don MacNaughton to help us smash through our limiting beliefs and develop ways to overcome what is holding us back.
In his ‘Go for your Goals!’ seminar, sponsored by BSW Timber, Don’s down-to-earth approach is guaranteed to help you see your own potential and get you motivated.
All Ideas Week training seminars are two-hours long – meaning you can benefit from high- level personal development training without taking a lot of time out of your working day.
