BRIMELOW – Mary Brimelow died peacefully on August 16, 2019, aged 95 years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She, together with the late Keith Brimelow lived on Mull and in Kilmore for more than 30 years.
BRUNNER – August ‘Gustl’, aged 84, died at home on Seil on August 14, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Miranda Brunner, father of Patrick, Lars and Donny, and grandfather of Finlay, Magnus, Margot, Isobelle and Elsie. Dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at Kilbrandon (Balvicar) Cemetery at 12.00pm on Friday, August 30, 2019. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for North Argyll Car Volunteer Scheme.
CAMERON – On August 21, 2019, John (Jack), passed peacefully away at Gracewell Nursing Home, aged 90 years. Much loved father of Donald and Jane, grandfather of Stephen, Hannah, Lachlan and Erin, great-grandfather of Ava. Funeral service to be held at West Berkshire crematorium on Friday, September 6 at 12.00 noon. CAMPBELL – (Dalkey Co. Dublin, late of Oban, Scotland) August 7, 2019 (peacefully) in the kind care of all the staff of St Vincent’s Hospital. Richard, beloved son of the late Dick and Rose, brother of Margaret, Agnes, and the late Ian and Jean. Sadly missed by his sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends both in Ireland and abroad. Reposing Friday in Quinns of Glasthule from 5pm to 7pm. Removal Saturday to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving for 10am. Funeral Mass followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. May he Rest in Peace.
GRAHAM – Helen Richardson (née MacKechnie), sadly passed on August 25, 2019, aged 84. Dear wife of the late Russell Graham and beloved mother of Russell, June and the late Angus Graham. Funeral service at 1pm on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Kilchattan Cemetery, Isle of Luing. Donations in lieu of flowers please, to SSPCA.
LOCKHART – Suddenly but peacefully at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, Catherine May Gemmell, beloved wife of Colin Lockhart. Funeral service in Parkgrove Crematorium Friockheim on Tuesday, September 3 at 1.30pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please, donations if desired for the MS Society Scotland will be received at the crematorium.
MACDONALD – Donald Dingwall. Following an illness bravely borne Donald passed away at home surrounded by family on August 10, 2019. Beloved husband and soulmate to Catherine. Adored by his children Calum and Rachel and also by his son David who sadly passed away earlier this year. Proud grandpa to Rosie and Dylan. Much loved brother, uncle, father-in-law, son-in-law and brother-in-law and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Interred in Kilmuir, North Uist.
MACLUGASH – Archibald Morrison (Ernie) on his birthday, August 15, 2019, aged 82 years. Born at Cladville, Islay on August 15, 1937 and died suddenly but peacefully at home in Banavie, Fort William after a long illness he fought so bravely. Very much loved by family and friends. A funeral of thanksgiving for Ernie’s life was held at Fort William Baptist church on Tuesday August 20.
STEWART – It is with great sadness that Ann Stewart née Black aged 84yrs, of Nant Drive, Oban, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Sandy Stewart and much loved mum of Carol, Mhairi and Alistair. Adored granny to Kirsty, Isla, Thomas and Michael. A great neighbour and dear friend to many. Funeral service will be held at Oban Parish Church on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at 1pm, thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. WILSON – Suddenly at home, Craiglussa, Machrihanish, after a short illness, on August 25, 2019, Sandra Murray (Sandie), in her 71st year, dearly beloved wife of the late Charles Wilson, much loved mum of Louise and Stuart, loving granny of Carrie and beloved sister of Barbara, Moira and the late Billy. Funeral service in Cardross Crematorium, on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 1.15pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers, to the Macmillan Nurses, Kintyre Locality.
CAMPBELL (Caol) – Many thanks from the Campbell family for the love, support and friendship shown to us all following the sad loss of our mum Cathie. Special thanks to Rev Richard Baxter for his comforting service, to the Belford Hospital for the care shown to mum, to Caol Community Centre for the catering, John and the team at John McLellan Funeral Directors for the guidance and comfort at such a difficult time. Finally thanks to all who attended the service on the day, the generous amount of £600.00 was collected for the PDSA and Lochaber District Nurses.
CLARKE – The family of Agnes Clarke would like to thank everyone for the lovely cards and support. We would like to express our appreciation to all who paid their respects at the church and cemetery. Thank you to the Rev Cameron for a lovely service. Thanks to North Argyll House for their care, Petals for the beautiful flowers, the Royal Hotel for the catering, Ian from D & A Munn, for the invaluable help with the funeral arrangements. Also a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the collection for Alzheimer Scotland, which amounted to £89.19.
JACKSON – MORWEN – Following the final journey of our Mum, the family would like to express our gratitude to all the staff at Invernevis House, the Home Care Service and Tweeddale Medical Practice for their care and support during Mum’s illness. Thanks also to friends, family and neighbours for their kind gifts and messages of support and attendance at the funeral. Special thanks to our brother-in-law, David Christie, for conducting the service, Nikki Roberts of Floral Elegance for the beautiful floral arrangements, The Lochy Bar for the funeral tea and McFall Funeral Directors for their professionalism.
MACKECHNIE – Isobel. We the family would like to thank all who cared, nursed and attended to Isobel during her illness. Thank you for all the cards, letters, messages, phone calls, visits and flowers, your support is much appreciated. Thank you to all who attended the funeral and graveside. Thank you to Ken Hunter for the service, to Catriona of Hoey’s for all her help with funeral arrangements, to Angus MacColl for piping and to Lynette at Petals of Oban for the flowers. The collection for the Dove Centre raised £572.11. Thank you all for your friendship, kindness and generosity.
MACKINNON – Christina along with Chrissie, Alex, Christine and Donald John would like to thank everyone for all their kindness, cards and support after their sad loss of Donald.
