Easdale branch of the Royal British Legion has raised £1,700 at its annual sale on Seil.

‘This is an excellent result and our thanks go out to all the community and visitors who attended and supported the day.

‘The event was opened by the President of Royal British Legion Scotland, General Sir Alistair Irwin, who gave an excellent encouraging speech to everyone.   All the money raised will go to forces and veterans charities,’ said branch secretary Jean Alexander.

‘Four of the branch members are now octogenarians and are still helping the good cause,’ she added.
