Break in
Between August 17 and 25 a building at the old Sea Life Sanctuary, Barcaldine, was broken into and a yellow/black Diall torch was stolen. Police are investigating.

Drugs
About 10.20pm on Tuesday August 27, in Ardconnel Terrace, Oban, a woman (17) was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cannabis. The woman was issued with a recorded police warning.

Fail to stop 
Between 9.50am and 10.55am on Monday August 26 within the car park at Aldi Stores, Lynn Road, Oban, a blue Volkswagen Touran was damaged with the driver’s side door and panels were dented/scraped.

Cannabis
About 7pm on Wednesday August 28 on George Street, Oban, a man (18) was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cannabis. The man was issued with a recorded police warning.

Drugs offences
About 7.40pm on Wednesday August 28, on Ardconnel Road, Oban, a man (18) was stopped and searched and allegedly obstructed police in the course of their duty. The man was found in possession of cannabis and an open alcoholic container in contravention of local bylaws. The man was arrested and charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Assault 
About 03.45am on Thursday August 29, in Marine Court, Dunbeg, police attended reports of a disturbance. A woman (20) was arrested for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner and assaulting a man (20). The woman was arrested, charged and held in custody for court.

Drugs
About 11.45pm on Thursday August 29, near Ganavan Sands, Oban, a man (20) was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cannabis. The man was issued with a recorded police warning.

Abusive behaviour
About 5.20pm on Friday August 30, on Shore Street, Oban, a woman (45) was arrested for abusive behaviour and failing to desist. The woman was arrested and held in custody for court.

Arrested
About 2.45pm on Saturday August 31 on Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man (44) was arrested for abusive behaviour. He was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.

Money seized
About 4.50pm on Saturday August 31, on McCaig Road, Oban, a man (27) was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cocaine. A cash sum was also seized. The man was arrested, charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Drink driving

About 2.35am on Sunday September 1, on Glencruitten Road, Oban, a man (26) was arrested for allegedly driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The man was charged with the offence and released to appear at court on a later date.

MULL

Assault

About 7.15pm on Sunday September 1, in a hotel bar in Main Street, Tobermory, Mull, a man allegedly assaulted another man. Police attended and a 26-year-old male was arrested and later charged. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
