CAMERON – Allan, aged 87, died suddenly and peacefully on August 11, 2019. Born on July 12, 1932 in Braunault, Achateny to John and Mary Cameron. The eldest child and much loved brother of Elizabeth, Mary, Hugh, Kirsty, Norman and Donald. He moved to Greenock as a young man, marrying the late Ella Cameron in 1955. Much loved dad of Christine and Ann, and beloved grandfather of Laura, Mairi and Allan. He led a full and active life, and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
McCALLUM – Peacefully at his home, on August 13, 2019, John (Iain) McCallum, in his 80th year, of Ballymeanoch House, Kilmichael Glassary, by Lochgilphead, beloved husband of Sheila McBride, dear father of Lorna and Fiona, much respected father-in-law of Alan, loving brother of Elizabeth (Libby) and a dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin to all the family. Funeral service was held in Lochgilphead Parish Church, on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, followed by interment at Achnabreac Cemetery. Sadly missed.
SMITH – Colin, aged 83 years, died peacefully at RAH on August 12, 2019. Beloved husband of Maureen, dearly loved father of Janice, Annette, Emma, Wendy and David. Much loved grandpa and brother. Dearly loved and will always be in our hearts.
STEELE – Peacefully on August 8, 2019 after a short illness, Iain passed away with his loving son Iain and daughter Kirsty by his side. Loving and devoted husband to Marion, adored and much loved grampa to his five grandchildren and to his son-in-law-Martin and daughter-in-law Laura and much loved brother of Catriona and Neil.
CARGILL – Following the sudden death of John, Jean and the family would like to thank all friends and neighbours for their kindness and support. We would like to express our appreciation to all who paid their respects at the church and cemetery, our thanks go to Rev Cameron for conducting the service. We appreciate the excellent care John received by paramedics and at Lorn and Islands Hospital. We would also like to thank Catriona and all at Hamish Hoey & Son for their kind assistance with funeral arrangements, The Royal Hotel for the catering and Agnes and Lynette from Petals for the beautiful flowers. Thanks to all who contributed to the collection for The Dove Centre and the Mcmillan Day Bed Unit.
