Oban Saints Greater Glasgow team were also in action on Saturday when they took on Langcraigs in the League Cup on the 3G pitch at Oban High School.

The game turned out to be a nine-goal thriller with the Oban lads losing out 5-4 in an entertaining game.

Saints had four goals disallowed in an end-to-end thriller.

Scoring for Saints were Fraser MacFarlane (3) and Ross Maitland.

The GG team are away to Calderglen on Saturday, also in the League Cup.

Youth results

Oban Saints youth teams were also back in action after the school holidays with the following results: Dunoon 5, Under 13s 7. Scoring for Saints were Kai MacKechnie (4), Reece Millar (2) and James Muir. Clydebank 2, Under 14s 2. On target for Saints were Zander Craik and Gabriel Tidser.

Campbeltown Pupils 3, Under 15s 2. Saints goalscorers were Kyle Cooper and Andrew Nicol. Ardencaple 1, Under 17s 5. Scoring for Saints were Ross Higgins (2), Ross Campbell (2) and Connor Moore.

This Sunday’s fixtures: Under 14s v Drumchapel Utd; Under 15s v Drumchapel Utd; St Patrick’s v Under 17s.
