Kinloch Castle Friends’ Association has renewed its appeal to get involved with their recycling fundraising campaign.

The group registered with recycle4charity to raise funds for the historic Isle of Rum castle by offering £1 for every used printer cartridge sent to them and 50 per cent of the market value of old mobile phones.

Cartridges can be recycled by sending them to recycle4charity in a recycling bag and phones can be recycled through the use of recycling boxes. Bags and boxes can be obtained through the KCFA.

In a new appeal, the association said: ‘About a year ago we asked KCFA members and supporters to send their used inkjet cartridges to the charity which gives us £1 for every suitable cartridge. We have received £137.10 from just five people – three of whom are members of the committee. Surely we can do better than this!’

There are no postal charges. All you need is a little bit of computer know-how and a few used cartridges to put into the envelopes which you can order online.
