COX – Johanna aged 91, formerly of the Old School, Duisky, died peacefully at her new home in Ballachulish on July 22, 2019. Interred by her loving family in Glen Nevis Cemetery on July 29. Donations if desired, in her memory, may be made to Greenpeace.
MACDONALD – (Inverness). Peacefully on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, Thomas Burns MacDonald (Tom), aged 68 years, RIP, Culloden, Inverness, formerly of Spean Bridge. Beloved husband of Linda, dearly loved dad of John, Andrew, Caroline and Stuart, also a much loved grandpa, brother and uncle. Funeral service today, Thursday August 1 at 1pm in St Columba’s RC Church, Tower Road, Culloden followed by committal at Inverness Crematorium. All welcome to attend. Family flowers only please. MACLEAN – Peacefully on July 26 2019, in Canberra Australia, Allan, younger son of the late Valerie, beloved dad of Morvern and Kirsteen, and young brother of Sheenac and the late Jessie and Donald.
MACLENNAN (Spean Bridge) – Peacefully at his home “Torglas” in Spean Bridge on Saturday July 27, 2019, Ronald Ewen MacLennan, aged 90 years, beloved husband of Anne, devoted father to Kenneth and Rona adored pappy of Lexie and Monty. Funeral service will take place on Friday August 2, 2019 at 12 noon at Kilmonivaig Parish Church, Spean Bridge. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Lochaber Macmillan Nurses. SCOTT – Peacefully at the North Argyll Home, Oban on July 28, 2019, Mrs Flora Scott, (née Graham), in her 95th year, formerly of Chalmers Court and Foulis Road, Inveraray. Beloved wife of the late James Scott and much loved mother of Brian, Graham and the late Irene. Adored granny of Iona, Neil and Iain and great granny of Max. Much respected mother-in-law of Christine and Norrie. A good neighbour and dear friend to many. Funeral service will be held at Inveraray Parish Church on Friday, August 2, 2019, at 12 noon, thereafter to Glen Shira Cemetery, Inveraray. Donations to Alzheimer’s Scotland, Action on Dementia.
WHITE – Peacefully at Eadar Glinn Care Home, Oban on Sunday, July 21, 2019, aged 83 years, Isobel White (Tibbie), beloved wife of the late Len and dear sister of Christine Scott. Funeral will take place from Glenorchy Parish Church, Dalmally on Wednesday, August 7 at 1.00 pm. Thereafter to Glenorchy Cemetery.
DAVIS – Stewart’s family would like to thank everyone involved in the wonderful care Stewart received after his diagnosis of cancer last year, from the staff of Lorn Medical Centre, the District nurses and Macmillan nurses to Dr Fiona MacLennan. Stewart was overwhelmed by the care he received and with the support and kindness of friends he was able to make the most of this last year. This care was carried on by Hoey’s staff, especially Catriona, and Rev Dugald Cameron’s comforting words. Thank you all.
MACLUCAS – Helen and family would like to thank friends, relatives and neighbours who attended Douglas MacLucas’s funeral. We would also like to thank the nurses and doctors on Ward B who looked after Douglas for the last six months with care and consideration. Thanks to Hamish Hoey and Son, especially Catriona who arranged the funeral. Also thanks to Rev Dugald Cameron for a moving service and to the Falls of Lora Hotel for a nice cold buffet. Thanks for the donations after the service which raised £199 for Diabetes UK.
VEITCH – Mary Laurie (Molly). Billy and John and families would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours who attended Molly’s funeral service and burial and for the flowers and the donations to Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Special thanks to all those who provided the lovely tea at the Invergarry Community Hall. Our sincere thanks also to the staff at John McLellan Funeral Directors for the consideration, respect and dignity shown to the family at this sad time. Thank you too for the care shown to Molly by her kind neighbours and the dedicated staff at the Belford Hospital.
