Lochside Rovers and the Glasgow Mid Argyll second team contest the Bullough Cup Final at Strachurmore on Saturday August 3.

The trophy, first won by Ballachulish in 1906, was donated by Sir George Bullough who owned the hunting estate on the Isle of Rum.
Lochside Rovers go into the final as holders having defeated the Kyles Athletic second team 5-2 in last year’s final.

Their route to this year’s final began with a 2-1 win over Kilmory before seeing off the English Association 6-2. Last year’s finalists Kyles Athletic were also dispatched 6-2 in the semis. Lewis Buchanan has scored four times in the tournament with Michael MacQueen and Kenny Wotherspoon each netting three times.

GMA received a first round bye, then defeated the Inveraray second team 3-2 before eventually edging out Glenorchy on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the last-four of the competition.

The sides met in the league at Yoker in mid-July with Lochside winning 6-0. Lochside were 5-1 victors when the sides met at Mossfield in April but will take nothing for granted in the final as Brian MacCallum’s side bid to add the Bullough Cup to the HIS Sutherland Cup won last month

Throw-up is at 4pm and Ewan MacDonald is the match referee
