The fine weekend weather saw more than 100 golfers taking to the greens of Fort William Golf Club for the annual McFall Funeral Directors, Charity Day Texas Scramble.

The event had been postponed from last month when torrential rain and flooding made the course unplayable, although sun tan lotion rather than umbrellas featured in many golf bags this time.

Winners: Andrew (Toon) Brown, Cal Brown, John Byrne and Brian Stewart Snr.

Runners-up: Lewis Corbett, Kevin Ferguson, Mark MacPherson and Brian Stewart Jnr.

Third Place: Darren Quigg, Garry Dunlop, Gareth Lee and Robert MacMillan

Ladies Winners: Rosemary MacIntyre, Ann Lovat and Iona Cameron

The day was sponsored by Jamie Manson and Beth MacBeath of McFall Funeral Directors, Inverlochy and raised a outstanding amount of £4,626 for local Charity Lochaber Hope.
