Oban Life Boat and Oban Coast Rescue went to the assistance of four people stranded on a yacht halfway between Oban and Lismore today (Tuesday).

Coastguards were alerted at 1.40pm when the engine and rudder on the 10 metre vessel lost power.

The situation was dealt with promptly and the stranded yacht was towed to Dunstaffnage Marina.
