Police in Fort William are appealing for information after a break-in at the Steall Falls hut in Glen Nevis.

The building was discovered damaged by a member of Lochaber Mountaineering Club on Sunday.

This incident is believed to have occurred sometime after Sunday June 9.

Entry appears to have been gained to the hut, although nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Sergeant Deborah McCartney said: ‘We appreciate the hut is in a remote location but I would ask any walkers or visitors to Glen Nevis who may have seen anything suspicious to let us know.

‘Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference NP1741/19, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.’
