One-year-old Mila McCracken from Oban was crowned the winner of The Oban Times Bonnie Babies competition.

After five rounds of voting, 70 entrants were whittled down to one, with Mila taking home the £500 first prize.

Mila’s parents, Victoria Pacitti and Stephen Mccracken, said: ‘We were really happy to find out she had won as we knew the competition was very popular in the local area and a lot of people were voting so it means a lot that she won.

‘We just want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and her money will be put into her savings account to spend when she is older.’

All our entries to the Bonnie Babies competition received huge support from our readers with well over 3,000 votes cast in total, but there can only be one winner of our £500 first prize and that is Mila– and a worthy winner she is too.

Our two runners up prizes of £50 each go to Carter Harvey also from Oban and Alba McNicholas Smith from Helensburgh.  Our thanks go to all the parents, grandparents, friends and relatives who voted for their favourites. It has been a joy to see all the happy, smiley faces in the paper.
