Glenelg 0 – 4 Mallaig

Skye and Lochalsh William Wilson League.

Mallaig notched up another win in their pursuit of back-to-back league titles as they made light work of Glenelg on Friday May 31.

Andy Cunningham returned to the Mallaig side after missing the previous weekend and was back with a bang as he fired Mallaig into the lead in the first half.

Second-half substitutes secured the victory for Mallaig in the end. David Currie came off the bench to score a brace, before he set up fellow sub Tom Benfield, whose well placed header made it 4 nil to Mallaig.

This was a great result on the road for Mallaig as they continue their 100 per cent start to the league season.

Kyle 2 – 10 Mallaig

Ross Cup

League dominance of Mallaig translated into cup success on Saturday, June 8, as the west coasters thumped Kyle, scoring ten goals in the process.

Hat-tricks from Andy Cunningham and Angus MacNaughton, followed by a brace from David Currie, made this a more than comfortable victory for the blues. Bradley Flannigan and Gordy Jamieson also got on the scoresheet.
