Lochaber Provincial Mòd will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 7 and 8, at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar, Fort William. Entries have now closed.

ART Lochaber is holding its annual exhibition at Ben Nevis Distillery from Saturday June 8 until Saturday June 22. It will be open from 10am until 6pm daily. Come to see a varied display of this year’s work – both framed and unframed – and paintings will be for sale.

The Lochaber Vegan Fair takes place on Saturday June 8 from 11am to 4pm at Duncansburgh Church Hall, Fort William. Free entry. More information on the Lochaber Vegan Fair Facebook page.

The second annual Neilly Fraser Trophy tournament will be held at Spean Bridge Golf Club on Saturday June 8. Everyone welcome. All proceeds go towards Spean Bridge Golf Club.

Representatives of Lochaber Sensory Care for sight and hearing support will visit Ardnamurchan on Monday June 10. The team will be at Acharacle Medical Centre from 10.30-11.45am and then at Dail Mhor Care Home at Strontian from 1pm-2.30pm. They will offer advice and help to those with sight or hearing impairments and will also re-tube and maintain hearing aids and supply batteries for these. No appointment necessary for this free service.

West Highland Museum, in conjunction with High Life Highland, is holding an Outlander Day on Friday June 14. Booking is essential. Call the museum on 01397 702169.

Lochaber Sensory Care is holding a fundraising midsummer ceilidh on Friday June 21, in the Railway Social Club, at Inverlochy. The proceeds will help Lochaber Sensory Care to provide its free services throughout Lochaber.

It starts at 7.30pm with the entertainment provided by a host of local artists. Tickets are £8 including tea / coffee and biscuits. There will be a raffle and the Railway Club Bar will be open. Tickets are available from: Lochaber Sensory Care Centre in Caol; the Ben Nevis Book Shop in Monzie Square; and the Railway Club itself.
