The knives are out and the chefs are prepped for a special seafood-themed launch of the 2019 Skye Food and Drink Festival, which rolls out across Skye and Raasay over the last week of June.
Now in its third year, the festival is an annual celebration of food and drink from across the Isles of Skye and Raasay.
It kicks off on Monday June 24 at 2pm at An Crùbh, Duisdale, with an exciting, fun and entertaining seafood-themed Ready, Steady, Cook between two of Skye’s top chefs — Marcello Tully of Kinloch Lodge and Scott Davies of The Three Chimneys.
It is up to the audience to decide whose dish will take first ‘plaice’ and whose dish will ‘flounder’. The cook-off is followed by high tea and sea shanties.
The event heralds the start of a six-day celebration which includes a four-day islands-wide festival food and drink trail, running until Friday June 28, which aims to encourage visitors to the islands who are seeking a unique and authentic culinary experience.
