New committee members and friends boosted the annual plant sale getting ready for North Connel and District Horticultural Show’s diamond jubilee this year.

Funds were raised at the sale at Benderloch’s Victory Hall this month for the anniversary show on Saturday August 24.

Benderloch’s Victory Hall was buzzing with visitors looking for bargain plants.

Although it was raining on the sale day, the hall was  buzzing with locals and visitors snapping up bargain plants, swapping growing tips and discussing gardening problems.

Show President Jane Eccles said the sale had been a great success and it was ‘lovely’ to have new committee members and friends of the show helping out and sharing their horticultural knowledge.
