Oban will be buzzing with excitement over the next two days as the town hosts its Provincial Mòd.

Last year’s event was dubbed the biggest Oban Provincial Mòd in recent times and it lived up to expectations with hundreds of children competing at various locations on the first day around the town including the Cathedral Hall, the Scout Hall and the Great Western Hotel.

The standards were praised for being ‘extrememly high’ by Allan Campbell who was the adjudicator and president of the Royal National Mòd – the same is expected this year.

The juniors’ day has 90 classes and the adults’ day on Saturday has 23 competitions.
