Dig out your glad rags, sparkles and feathers for this year’s carnival-themed Charities Day.

Organisers of Saturday’s event are encouraging people to dress up and get into the party mood to help make it the biggest and best day yet in the event’s history.

Oban and Lorn Lions Club are behind the day that will see a parade leave the Corran Halls at 1pm and Station Square filled with stalls from noon until 4pm.

The event is organised to give charities the chance to raise much needed funds.

Last year there were more than 40 charities with stalls, raising thousands of pounds for their causes.

There will also be prizes for the three best entries in the 2019 parade and one for the  best-dressed stall winner.
