For the second consecutive tournament, Bob MacIntyre has has had the people of Oban on the edge of their seats on his quest to win his first European Tour event.

The showman from Oban put on another spectacular golfing performance today, finishing as runner-up in the Made In Denmark tournament.

He was head-to-head with Bernd Wiesberger, with the Austrian winning the event by one shot in the end.

His sponsors, Bounce, said: ‘A fantastic effort from [Robert MacIntyre] –  comes up agonisingly short at #MiD19.

‘Congrats Bernd Wiesberger on the win – you were just too good on the day.

Second place and you have made a lot of people happy Bob. Surely not long ’til your first European Tour win.’

Obanites would agree with that. It didn’t take long for people on social media to congratulate the 23-year-old on his efforts, with one saying: ‘Well done, Robert Macintyre. You have done Oban proud.’

Two-weeks ago, Bob finished second in the British Masters and secured his European Tour card for next season in the process.
